GUYANA, SOUTH AMERICA (GOLD)
Takara Resources Inc. (`Takara`) is a gold development company that is focused
on its advanced stage Gold Projects within the Guyana Shield in Guyana, South
America.
In April, 2010, Takara purchased from Victoria Gold Corp. (TSX-V:VIT) a company
(StrataGold Guyana Inc.), which holds an interest in two projects, namely, the
Tassawini Gold
Project and the
Arakaka Gold Project.
The Tassawini Gold Project (100% interest), hosts a National Instrument 43-101
mineral resource of 437,000 ounces gold (indicated) and 62,000 ounces gold
(inferred) in the Tassawini and Sonne Deposits.
The Arakaka Gold Project (100% interest), formerly known as the Arakaka Joint
Venture Project, is now 100% owned by Takara. Takara acquired the remained 70.1%
interest in the project from previous joint venture partner Guyana Goldfields
Inc. in June 2011.
These two advanced stage gold projects have significant exploration upside in
addition to the potential for near-term future gold production at the Tassawini
project.
CANADIAN PROJECTS (NICKEL)
Takara holds a 75% interest in the
Miskamowin Project,
an identified nickel project area located in an underexplored area in Northern
Manitoba known to host ultramafic rocks correlative with the Thompson Nickel
Belt. The region is prospective for the identification of new ultramafic
magmatic sulphide Ni.
