Jennifer Boyle, B.A., LL.B
President and Chief Executive Officer
Ms.
Boyle is a co-founder of Takara Resources Inc. She is a former securities lawyer
from Calgary, Alberta, that joined Canadian Royalties Inc. in 1997 as a founding
director, and held the position of director and chief executive officer of
Canadian Royalties until 2006. Ms. Boyle also co-founded Golden Valley Mines
Ltd. in 2002, a mineral exploration company based out of Val d’Or, QC, exploring
in Quebec, Ontario, and Saskatchewan. Ms. Boyle resides in Toronto, Ontario and
is the owner/manager of CapEx Group Inc., a private company that, from time to
time, provides public company corporate consulting services to the mineral
industry.
Pamela D. Strand, M.Sc, P.Geol.
Chair
In addition to being a founder of Takara Resources, Ms Strand
is President, Chief Executive Officer and a Director of Shear Minerals Ltd. She
has worked in the mining industry for over 20 years and is a Professional
Geologist with APEGGA and NAPEGG. Ms Strand is also a Director of the NWT and
Nunavut Chamber of Mine and past President of the Edmonton Geological Society
and volunteers for the Student Outreach Program for APEGGA. Ms. Strand is also
currently a Director on several private and public companies. Ms. Strand has a
B.Sc. from the University of Toronto and a M.Sc. in Economic Geology from the
University of Western Ontario.
Marjorie (Marni) A. Wieshofer, C.A., M.B.A.
Director
Ms. Wieshofer has over 20 years of experience with Canadian
and American public companies. Currently Ms. Wieshofer is the Senior Vice
President, Corporate Development and Mergers & Acquisitions of Media Rights
Capital, a leading independent film, television and digital studio with offices
in Los Angeles and New York. Ms. Wieshofer is the former Executive Vice
President, Corporate Development (2003 to 2007) and the former Chief Financial
Officer (1999 to 2003) of Lions Gate Entertainment Corp. Prior to that, Ms.
Wieshofer held office as Vice-President, Finance of Alliance Atlantis
Communications from 1995 to 1999. Ms. Wieshofer is a Canadian Chartered
Accountant and holds a M.B.A. from the University of Toronto.
Carrie Howes, BA (Hons), FSA RR, ASI
Director
Ms. Howes is a former broker and currently provides Investor
Relations services within Europe. She brings to the board her financial
expertise and access to European investment community. Ms. Howes has developed
extensive experience in small and micro-cap equity sales, and IPO's with a
concentration on the North American markets and raising capital for small caps
working as the UK Managing Director of Investor Relations for MCC Global. Ms.
Howes is currently Investor Relations Director of Proactive Investors, a
provider of websites and forums providing investors with small cap investment
information, comment and analysis. Ms. Howes is FSA licensed in the UK and
formerly worked with the Securities Institute as an SFA Exam Writer and Editor.
She holds a B.A.(HON) from the University of Western Ontario.
Scott Jobin-Bevans, Ph.D, P.Geo
Vice President, Exploration
Since 2001, Dr. Jobin-Bevans has been Managing Director of
Caracle Creek International Consulting Inc., a private company providing
geological consulting for the mineral exploration industry. Dr. Jobin-Bevans is
also Second Vice-President and Director of the PDAC and has over 19 years of
experience in the minerals industry. Dr. Jobin-Bevans is a Director of Absolut
Resource Corp. and former Vice-President, Exploration of Pacific North West
Capital Corp. where he was instrumental in the development
of the multi-million ounce River Valley precious metals deposit.
Shanda Theaker, B.A.
Consultant
Ms.
Theaker is an independent mining consultant primarily focused on corporate
finance, securities compliance and corporate secretarial matters. Ms Theaker
previously held office as Corporate Secretary for Richview Resources Inc. Prior
to Richview, Ms. Theaker worked as Manager, Investor Relations for North
American Palladium Ltd., in corporate compliance for Simberi Mining Corporation
and in the legal department of Canadian Royalties Inc. and Golden Valley Mines
Ltd. Ms. Theaker holds a B.A. from the University of Ottawa.
Dr. Julie Brown, M.Sc., Ph.D.
Project Supervisor
Dr. Brown joined Takara Resources Inc. in May 2008 as Geological Project
Supervisor and is responsible for directing all field operations and providing
geological assessments for the company on an ongoing basis. Julie comes to
Takara from the Geological Survey of Canada (GSC), Natural Resources Canada,
where she was a Geological Researcher and Project Manager. Dr. Brown has
extensive field experience acquired in Ontario, Nunavut, Greenland, New
Caledonia, Australia and Western China. Julie obtained a PhD from the
Australian National University; her other degrees (MSc Geology and BSc
Geology-Biology Honours) are from the University of Ottawa.
Wesleigh Harkness, Hon. B.A
Chief
Financial Officer
Ms. Harkness has spent the last year working as a corporate finance consultant
for Takara Resources, specifically assisting with the reverse take-over. She
previously worked with Sprott Asset Management under the sales and marketing
division. She holds a Hon. B.A. from the Richard Ivey School of Business. |
