The Venus Energy Strategic Alliance

Takara Resources entered into a memorandum of understanding (“MOU”) with South African based Aphrodeities Mining (Pty) Limited in November 2007.  The formation of this strategic alliance purpose is to jointly identify, explore and/or develop African mineral projects, primarily in energy related sector (coal/uranium). Any rights awarded on properties being processed and evaluated shall be held by a private subsidiary company that is held 50% by Takara Resources and 50% by Aphrodeities Mining.

The South African Department of Minerals and Energy has accepted for further consideration 5  of the 26 prospective properties for coal, all of which are located in a region that is active in coal exploration and production.  Takara and Aphrodeities have taken the appropiate steps to proceed in the application process for these 5 properties, including preperation and submission of an environmental management plan, propecting work programs, evidence of compliance with the country’s black economic empowerment regime and consultation with affected third parties.

Aphrodeities was formed by a group of South Africans who have leveraged their individual strengths from the South African coal industry, the business community, the government and the legal community in order to obtain access to energy-related mineral exploration projects, primarily coal.
